Timberline Knolls Lemont is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 40 Timberline Dr in Lemont, Illinois. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Timberline Knolls Lemont. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Timberline Knolls Lemont.
If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Timberline Knolls Lemont, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.
The staff members at Timberline Knolls Lemont have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Timberline Knolls Lemont. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.
Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Timberline Knolls Lemont can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

I spent 2 months at this facility and I can say hands down that it saved my life. If you are struggling with mental illness, ED, or substance abuse, this is the place to go. The staff genually care about the residents, the programs are very helpful and the lodges are wonderful. I highly recommend it.
Timberline Knolls (TK) is a good residential facility for women and teens. It is not perfect, but most of these reviews are inaccurate. TK has lots of groups and treats many illnesses which at times is a downfall but makes it an amazing place to meet all kinds of women. This facility is a great place for most people. I do suggest you should avoid going here if you have a lot of social anxiety or cannot handle a lot of chaotic people and situations because you will have to live with about 35 other struggling residents 24/7.
My time at Timberline Knolls was extremely effective for my overall health; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The staff are extremely competent and effective in using their specific skills and passions to connect with the residents, thus motivating recovery, healing and change. It is my wish that the higher levels of management would better compensate and appreciate the work that the behavior health specialists and core staff does from day to day. This is an unfortunate reality of most agencies regardless of field or focus. The turnover would be less and the effectiveness of the overall vision, mission and goal would be achieved.
I was there from February 6 2017 through April 28 2018. I have mixed feelings, the groups and certain staff were amazing and truly helped but others seemed to hate being there and were insensitive to the kids on lodge (I was with the teens) We had many chaotic days with fighting and breakdowns and most of the time the staff did not handle it correctly. We would be yelled at for attempting to comfort others or told to just get over it. With that being said, my life did change because of tk and I am a much happier healthier person
The first month I was there it was apparent they were understaffed and overworked. Every day there was a crisis and that left a good portion of us without support. There was very little consistency between staff. Meal support was necessary for us and many of the staff didn't know what that meant. The most helpful part of TK were the other girls. We supported each other when staff couldn't. I had a lot of bad times at TK and also a lot of wonderful times. There were many great staff members. They made all the difference.
I have been there twice, and each time it made all the difference for me. I'm not sure I would be alive we're it not for TK. I have been in a lot of places, and while no place is perfect, Timberline Knolls is the best treatment facility I've been to. Like any place, there are frustrating things, and it is possible to disagree with staff, but on the whole, staff seem to care and to have your best interest at heart. Go Maple!
A loved one spent 4 weeks here. She's doing the best she has in months. Our family counselor, Curt and resident counselor Bethany were effective for us. Parents should participate in as many family groups as possible. Some of these are available via teleconferencing when you can't be there. I would say that the program could be explained moreso at admission. Your loved one might complain about being here, but you get what you put into it.
I went to Timberline Knolls from October 2017 to November 2017. When I got there I was unsure I wanted to get better. I even fought it for about a week. But once I realized I would get nothing out of it if I didn’t put anything into it. I worked hard. I love how they treat mood disorders as well as eating disorders. The groups were great and the staff really connect and help you on your journey. You are truly cared about and you learn how to help yourself. I loved the art classes. I loved all of the hand outs I was given through out my stay to take home with me. I use them still when I’m lost on what to do. Going to Timberline Knolls was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I highly recommend you go here for treatment! You will come out knowing how to cope better with life!
No place is perfect but i'm sorry if you complain about this place then you have never actually BEEN somewhere that should be complained about. Also the parents who say they never got info about there underage kids thats there damn fault they need to make more of a effort. This place was a 5 star resort compared to other mental health facilities I have been at. Stephine,Bridget,Dominique,MaryAnn,Kelsey, and Kira at Maple made a huge difference and made me feel like I mattered so I thank them.
I loved it here, at first I hated it but all of the staff truly cared about everyone there. I was on the sequoia lodge, there were issues with being understaffed but it wasnt their fault. They were really understanding and cared about everyone. I loved it here. I truly believe this place saved my life.
anyone who bitches about TK either had an insurance issue which is not TK’s fault, doesnt have trauma, an eating disorder, or a substance problem- OR just doesnt know how to follow directions. TK actually saved my life, I was deep into my anorexia and I would of died eventually had I not gone. Yes, I will admit that there is sometimes understaffing issues, and on adolescent lodges there is lots of drama- but people who are really motivated in their recovery or at least open minded can see past that. You only get out of it what you put into it. I was there for about 50 days, and yes other residents were annoying at times, and yes I did have insurance issues, and no it wasnt easy- BUT, its the best treatment I’ve ever gotten. DONT go to TK if you cant follow simple directions- from what I saw on the adolescent lodges people stayed there for so long, and not. because they had lots to sort through and they were really working the program, but because they couldn’t follow any directions, never went to any groups- nothing, just sat around and caused problems. SO- if you’re willing to get better, or even if you’re not but you’re trying to get there and are cooperative, then TK is for you, the care is amazing and my experience with the staff is excellent. They really care about us residents. I have to say that the program is the most effective for people who have eating disorder or trauma and for people who have already made quite a but of progress with their substance abuse. General mood disorders like depression and anxiety will be treated but not quite as intensely as other mood disorders i mentioned, I recommend a different facility if Depression and anxiety are your main issues. TK works if you work it. :)
These reviews are posted by people with the worst experiences or who are upset about how things went for them, but what people are not hearing on here are the success stories that so many of us have... When I was At TK sure I would have been angry and wished I could Complain about everything pubically, but after 2 months in 2015, over 2 years ago I gained control over my life. Every recovery is bumpy and mine sure was and it was rough after leaving, but things get better if you let them and once I started to try and be less stubborn everything started to fall into place, but no it wasn’t easy not at all, but it wouldn’t be possible without TK. I am one of the hundreds of young women/ women with stories to prove TK does amazing work. I was there over the summer and spent my 15th Birthday there, it was not fun, but treatment isn’t an escape to a luxurious vacation spot it is for you to work on yourself. I am grateful for TK and do not discuss it often since it has been a long time and it’s a more private aspect of my life but I see All these hateful reviews on a place that really worked for me so I owe a 5 star review to the one place that worked for me.
